COMPLETE SEQUENCE

Full English translation & ritual order

Section 1

0. Repentance and invocation

In the name of God, may the beneficent power and glory of Ohrmazd increase. May the prayer reach righteous, vigorous Sraosha. I repent of bad thoughts, words, and deeds and renounce them.

Section 2

1. Core prayers and profession

Recite Yatha Ahu Vairyo five times and Ashem Vohu three times. Profess the Mazdayasnian, Zoroastrian faith and recite the Gah dedication appropriate to the time.

Section 3

2. Sraosha and protection

We honor fair-formed, victorious, world-furthering Sraosha, master of Asha. The Ahunawar protects the body. Recite Yatha Ahu Vairyo and the appeal of Kem Na Mazda.

Section 4

3. Rejection of Druj

Ask Mazda and beneficent Armaiti to protect from hatred. Reject the Druj, its offspring, its production, and its world, so that deceit may no longer destroy the living creation of Asha.

Section 5

4. Praise of Sraosha

Offer worship, strength, and praise to brave Sraosha, whose body is the Manthra and whose weapon is spiritual discipline.

Section 6

5. Blessing

Ask for health, endurance, abundance, worthy offspring, long life, the best existence, healing, victory, and the merit that comes through righteous action.

READABLE ENGLISH

Natural English

May I become capable of hearing what is true, obeying what is right, and resisting the noise of deception. Let protection arise through vigilance, discipline, and Asha.
EFIRETEMPLE COMMENTARY

The Asha understanding

Sraosha is not blind obedience. He represents the capacity to hear reality clearly and answer it with disciplined, truthful conduct.

TECHNICAL NOTE

Text, method, and limits

Complete English study sequence based on the traditional Srosh Baj structure. Repetition counts and Pazand additions can vary by prayer book.

Avestan and Pazand are inflected languages. A responsible interlinear may need several English words for one source word—or no single English equivalent. The confidence marker distinguishes direct lexical analysis from contextual or provisional reader glosses.

Read the interlinear method and source policy.
