Ask Ahura for vigor through Armaiti, strength through the Beneficent Spirit, mighty power through Asha, and guidance through Vohu Manah.

2. Support and conscience
Ask the far-seeing Lord to reveal the incomparable gifts of good dominion and Good Mind, and ask Armaiti to instruct conscience through Asha.

3. Zarathushtra’s offering
Remember Zarathushtra’s offering of life, Good Mind, obedience, right action, and truthful speech to Mazda and Asha.

4–6. Fire of Ahura Mazda
Profess the faith and honor Fire as the son of Ahura Mazda, joined with prosperity, good fortune, healing, the historic sacred fires, and Nairyosangha.

7. Worthy of reverence
Bless the abiding, joyous, and devotional offering. Fire is worthy of sacrifice and prayer in human dwellings; hope belongs to the one who approaches with clean fuel, ritual care, and devotion.

13–16. Fire’s request and blessing
Fire asks every passer-by what the friend brings to the friend. The clean offering is fuel rightly brought. To the one who tends Fire with purified fuel, Fire blesses cattle, community, active mind, active spirit, joyful life, and nights lived well.

17. Dedication
Ask Ohrmazd for intelligence, steadfastness, and goodness. Recite Yatha Ahu Vairyo twice and dedicate worship and strength to Fire and the powers joined with it.

18. Fire as ally of Asha
Ask that Ahura Mazda’s mighty Fire be a visible help to the ally of Asha and a visible restraint against destructive opposition.
Section 15
19–20. Final blessing
Ask for riches, health, endurance, healing, merit, and the increase of the victorious sacred fires and the good Mazdayasnian religion throughout the seven regions.

The Asha understanding
Zoroastrians do not identify physical fire with the Creator. Fire is honored as the most demanding visible teacher of purity: it gives light and warmth, yet must itself be tended responsibly.
